Thanks for the video! What watch is that? Looks really nice.
Is that lady on steroids??? I ve got the same tech, am 6’3 guy and would have my upper back muscles screaming after such clean up. Bcs is specially using ladies to kind of lie of how easy is to operate their machinery. The reality turns out to be something else…. Get a 4w tractor and save your back.
The key is to let the tractor do the work, not to fight it. Use the tractor's features like steering brakes, differential drive, and shuttle reverse to control the machine. If you're using your strength to try and guide the tractor, you're going to have a rough day. It's completely self-propelled, so using all of the tractor's features to your advantage will make work much easier. Carman (in this video) owns the tractor and flail mower she is using. She'd be the first to tell you that she's not a body builder, just an elderberry farmer who uses her flail regularly around her property!
@@BCSAmerica what if i have to do a straight line???
Does the tines have a slip clucth safety incase you hit a big rock?
Thanks for this. There is still confusion over here in the UK regarding the correct lubricant for the power safe machines and they are still supplied filled with a hypoid oil (you can tell from the smell). This seemed totally wrong to me and I'm glad to have your information on the correct grades.

You are very helpfull, thank you.
Which procedure do you suggest to use on a slope? Thanks
does the gear oil need to 3" on the dip stick? It's hard to see the oil on the white stick.
The distance from the top of the opening (where your finger will be clasping the dipstick) to the top of the oil line should be 3". The oil is barely on the tip of the dipstick in this video.
And why is this cone shi* better than pinion key? We have a lot on problems since new.
The taper lock provides a much more secure connection, rather than a single set screw. Set screws can be a real pain to remove and can break.
And why is there a groove on shaft?
Will this attachment work for harvesting sweet potatoes?
Hi, Nice video ! What are the models showed in the video (both the tractor and the attachment) ?
This is our flail mower (link is in description, here it is again: www.bcsamerica.com/product/flail-mower) The tractor is model 739: www.bcsamerica.com/product/model-739-ps
The worst thing are tyres valve innthe wrong position after reverse and expanding the weel width but not so bad
Where is the video to show it in use ?
We have a few videos on Instagram: instagram.com/p/C1H9c7Ut0We/ . instagram.com/reel/Cs69hnru3qZ/
I really need buy one
OMG Never do what 6:50 shows ,lifting tiller guard reaching near turning tiller. Dangerous. You will hear and look from side if tiller turning and only over dirt not concrete.
What's the difference between a flail mower and a brush cutter?
Flail mowers have vertically spinning hammer blades that pulverize material into a fine mulch before letting it fall out the back. Brush mowers have horizontally spinning rotary blades. Flail mowers are perfect for shredding cover crops or spent crops in place if you want the material to break down quickly and feed the soil.
Is there a video about attaching implements without using a quick hitch?
If you won't be using a quick hitch, the implements are simply attached to the PTO studs with the included nuts and domed washers. The domed washers MUST be installed with the dome facing away from the tractor, just like they are installed in this video. Keep that in mind and you should be good to go.
Hello, are you sure torque value for transmission bolt is just 13.56 Nm(10 ft/lb)? Do you know the oil engine bolt too for honda gx390 mounted on bcs? Sorry for my english, regards
Yes, 10 ft/lbs is correct. For the Honda oil drain, it would only need to be about 5 ft/lbs. Essentially, tighten with a wrench, then give it another 1/4 to half turn.
Where can I get the repair nut tool?
The nut tool is included in any of the service kits that are highlighted in this video. Part numbers and contents of each kit can be found on Service Bulletin 1-10 (under General BCS Bulletins) on this page: www.bcsamerica.com/service-information You can order the service kits from any BCS America dealer: www.bcsamerica.com/find-a-dealer
I can't remove the bearing, as it is in this video it is stiff, what could I do ???????
If you've followed all the instructions in the video, you may need to contact an authorized BCS dealer for further assistance. You can also call our tech service line at 855-832-4501.
@BCS How thick of saplings is the brush mower recommended attack?
General rule: if you can bend it over, the brush mower should be able to cut it.
I just bought an 853 second hand, nearly new. When I bought it, the handlebars were over the engine, with a flail mower mounted. When I rotate the handlebars to mount the tiller, the pto lever will not turn 180 to meet the handlebars in the new position the way it does in the video at 6:39, but will only flip up and over very awkwardly. It definitely doesn’t seem right.
Hi @Mattfooey, this is a pretty easy fix! Sounds like the handlebars may not have been rotated in quite some time and may have seized. Follow the link below and click on "Tractor Bulletins." You're looking for Service Bulletin 2-24 | PTO Rod Rotation Repair. www.bcsamerica.com/service-information
Thanks very much for this clear and informative video; I was able to replace all 20 of the worn universal tines on my 26-inch tiller with new ones in just a few hours -including dismounting and mounting the tiller on my 732.
Awesome! BCS is all about self-sufficiency.
Great way to kill soil and turn it into dirt, reverse evolution
Great video ❤
The single-stage snow blower is too light for medium and large tractors.
Using a Quick Hitch and a PTO extension will put the smaller single stage Snow Thrower out further in front of the tractor and counterbalance the weight!
I use a Quick Hitch and 20 kg additional weight.@@BCSAmerica
Would love to have them but can't afford them
Чи підходить агрегат до моделі 722?
The smallest model we recommend for this attachment is the 739.
@@BCSAmerica а чому 722 не підходить? Слаба модель?
@@polosataferma Model 722 does not have enough horsepower. There are also clearance issues with the handlebars.
@@BCSAmerica Thank you! And what is the alternative?
@@polosataferma www.bcsamerica.com/build-your-bcs Select the attachments you need and this configurator will tell you all the compatible tractors.
Fiyatı ne kadar?
I serviced the brakes on my bcs, and also replaced the spring and detent balls on the pto slider. After I put it all back together, the right wheel doesn't want to spin good. What might the issue be? Bad ball bearings?
Nevermind. The backing plates were a little bent causing the drum to rub too tightly against them.
@@ohiodeerhunting2552Glad to hear you got it figured out!
Hello , what model or cod is on the part label, please
HARİKA SÜPER FAKAT BIR SORUN VAR NEDEN GENİŞ DİNGILLİ ÜRETİYORSUNUZ TIRAKTÖR LERİ
How many horsepower does this car have? How much does it cost?
This model features a 75hp Kohler engine.
How much this tractor cost???
No gasket or anything between the aluminum housings? How many ft lbs do I tighten the bolts when I put it back together?
Silicone between the gaskets. Transmission cover bolts should be tightened to between 17-20 ft lbs. We have torque specs available on Service Bulletin 1-4, which can be found on this page: www.bcsamerica.com/service-information
Looks like one smart set up.
Hi BCS✋Do you have to put lubrication between two blades? Thx😊
Not necessary. The material you are cutting actually provides all the lubrication necessary!
@@BCSAmerica That is enough for lubrication the water from the grass? Metál to metal not better somes oil?
@@erikacellar8679 That's correct. If you wash the cutter bar with water after use, you may want to apply some lubricant to prevent blade oxidation. But the blades do not require lubrication otherwise.
@@BCSAmerica I understand, thx a lot ✋
@@erikacellar8679We should note there are a few grease points for the crank drive. We have a few videos on sickle bar maintenance here: www.bcsamerica.com/pages/how-to-videos
I use my old beer cozy’s over the male quick connect. My problem was I get grease on my legs or clothing every time I bump into one.
I just wish I could aford one with attachments to do my wife’s garden. Used a walk behind Gravely when I was growing up and loved it. Now I use a Troy Built Bronco. This looks like it would be much better than either.

I would love to see how that would work in un-tilled Alabama red clay?
i bounce my older model bcs off california sandstone and it hops skips ahead when tines hit. but if you have deeper dirt works great, just dont run over metal stakes on ground may take a leg off. I want to buy newer model like 779 with forward reverse knob control.
While running the rotary plow the battery acid spilled and went on the brake drums. I power-washed it off as soon as I noticed it, disassembled and cleaned all the brake parts. I did use a non hardening silicone coating on the pivot pins. I made sure none got on the shoes, and it was a light coating so it would no bleed and contaminate anything else. The only other problem is that it got on the aluminum extensions. I am thinking I may have them anodized to protect them from oxidation. Do you see any issue with doing this? Thank you for your time.
Nope, no issue there. They're aluminum as you said. Anodizing won't cause any problems.
Doesnt seem like 4k psi. Is yours set to 2k?
I used the Gravely a long time ago. It had a cart, but was very hard to find. I found that with a homemade hitch I could mount a regular garden tractor trailer. It is actually easier to push the cart than pull it. It really worked well for filling raised beds or anywhere that had tight spaces to maneuver in.
Ferrari, Japanese motor
Hi
Crappy gasoline engine, to light and flimsy. Get older diesel ones.
It's a Honda GX series. Literally the best you can buy. The extra weight of the older diesel models actually caused a lot of balance issues.
You can get diesel models here in the UK but, even though I have cheap "red" diesel, I got the petrol BCS740. The diesel version is about £1000 more and has far higher noise and vibration than the petrol version.
Where's the thresher and other im0lements sold over seas?
They're overseas.
@@BCSAmerica wishing they were here as well ;)
I want one plz sir
